Thankful for Teachers

Mrs. Anabella Parker - She is such an encouraging teacher and lots of fun.  There is never a question of how much she loves her students.  In the next picture, she was just dog piled by a bunch of 5th grade boys and is still smiling.  Mrs. Parker was the first teacher at Alliance to get the Smart Board in her class.  Almost everyday I heard something new about the Smart Board.  Thanks to Mrs. Parker for a wonderful 5th grade for Luke.

Jordan's 3rd grade teachers, Mrs. Kim Flores and Miss Courtney Conboy
Not only are these two ladies wonderful teachers but also dear friends of mine.  I had the privilege to be in a bible study with both Kim and Courtney.  I love them and miss them greatly.  They both moved back to the States - Kim in Boston and Courtney in San Diego.  The next picture is of their going away party.  The moms went around the room thanking Mrs. Flores and Miss Conboy.  I tried not to think about what I was going to say because I kept tearing up but when I listened to the other moms, I also teared up listening to their words.  I appreciate how they love their students, challenge and encourage them, and point them to Jesus Christ.  Thanks for giving Jordan the best 3rd grade experience!

Molly's Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Q
Caro is such a loving and encouraging teacher.  She is very creative and Molly completely adores her.  Molly is so happy because she still gets to have Mrs. Q as her art teacher in kindergarten.  Caro always has a big hug and loving words for all of her students.
Molly also had Mrs. G in her class.  Patty always has a smile and huge hug for her Molly-moo.  Patty is someone who does not see working with kids as a job but a pure joy and a part of her ministry.  Whenever Molly would take off running at school, I knew she saw either Mrs. Q or Mrs. G and was running as fast as she could to go and give them a hug.  Thanks Caro and Patty for an amazing pre-kindergarten year for Molly.

I could not have asked for a better school year.  The kids' teachers were all full of love, encouragement and prayers for their students.  We are so thankful Luke, Jordan and Molly are able to go to Alliance Academy.  This school greatly challenges them academically and teaches them about the love and hope of Jesus.

So grateful this morning because we just received the last reimbursement for our kids' school tuition for last year.  All praise to God who provides abundantly for us.  When we changed ministries from Youth World to Inca Link, the kids tuition quadrupled in price.  Inca Link is a small ministry and does not have any teachers to help with the missionary kids tuition.  Often I struggle with fear that we will not get the money to pay for school.  God continues to remind me to trust Him.  He provided for last year's tuition and as we are starting another school year, I choose to trust Him.  He is Jehovah-jireh, the God who provides.  Thank you Lord!
