Quinceañera at Ganas

We celebrated Karen and Alison's birthdays at Ganas with a Quinceañera for them.  A quinceañera is a special birthday party for a girl when she turns 15.  Our friend, Rachel had this wonderful quinceañera idea to celebrate the girls and made these beautiful dresses for them.

All the kids had a pink rose to give to the girls.

Casey shared a few words about how beautiful and special Karen and Alison are and then prayed for them.
Being presented with special pink shoes.  Alison was escorted by her uncle and Karen was escorted by Alex, the founder of Ganas.

Alison and Karen with Elzy, the director of Ganas.  Here they are saying thank you.

The girls were brought to tears as they thanked their family at Ganas.

A few of the kids wanted to share how much they love each girl.

Alison dancing with her younger brother, Jhonatan.

Then everyone began dancing.

Maria Fernanda asked Casey to dance.  She is precious!

My contribution was cooking lunch for 100 people.  The girls' favorite food is arroz con pollo, so I made 4 big pots of this dish.

After lunch it was time for cake.  My friend, Kristin made these delicious cakes.
Molly and Vanessa playing together.  Our kids love to go to Ganas - they have instantly made 40 new friends.

It was a wonderful day to celebrate 2 very beautiful young ladies.
